House on the Highlands (formerly known as the Hendrickson House) is a trailside home built in 2024. This 2,400-square-foot single-story home has an open plan featuring spacious gathering areas, a light-filled kitchen and dining area, and cozy seating in two separate living-room spaces. This beautiful home, nestled on a hilltop lot surrounded by towering white pines, was lovingly crafted using beautiful local hardwoods. Start your day by watching the sunrise from the kitchen and waiting for the Piston Bully to come through preparing the trails for you. Finish it by scanning for snowy and barred owls in the southern and western treelines while enjoying a warm (or cold!) beverage.

House on the Highlands was built with cross-country skiers in mind. The Hautanen Highlands Trail is groomed right to the back door, providing easy access to the entire ABR trail system. The location is ideal for skiers of all abilities, whether you’re looking to get on the easy Cherry Dairy trail and onward from there, or strike out for the more remote or difficult trails. Either way, you can skate or classic ski or snowshoe directly from the door.
